North Light Film Studios
The North Light Film Studios are located in an historic converted 19thC Woolmill, 3m south of Huddersfield and half way between the production hubs of Manchester and Leeds. The M62 and M1 motorways are nearby and London Kings Cross is 2 hours by train via Wakefield Westgate mainline station.
We are located in some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK with the Peak National Park and the Yorkshire Dales nearby. Our own buildings offer historic settings, being as they are in a Conservation area, and have been used for internal and external locations as widely variable as Hospitals and New York offices (North Light Gallery).
It was set up in 1999 and has been the main production base for “Where the Heart Is” from 1999 to 2006. Other productions have included:
