North Light Film Studios has everything you might need for your production. We have 6 stages, a full suite of production offices, a design office, a canteen, a joinery workshop, makeup rooms, green rooms and prop store as well as free parking by arrangement.
Key Terms and Conditions
Hire Policy: North Light Studios is a dry hire four wall facility providing film studios and offices to producers for the accommodation of their productions. John Brooke & Sons Holdings Ltd accepts liability only to the extent of the provision of those premises. The accommodation is subject to the Licence agreement terms.
Licence Agreement
Confirmation of bookings must be in writing and are subject to a signed Licence Fee agreement which will be issued when terms have been agreed and which will form the Contract. This will include Hiring Fee, Building insurance, Rates and Service Fee and Water rates, but exclude Public Liability insurance, contents insurance, communication charges, electric and gas.
Payment Terms and Prices
For short term hire (1 month or less) 50% of the Hire Fee is required at time of booking to secure the days required, the remainder is required on first day of filming unless agreed otherwise in writing. Utility charges ( Gas and Electric ) will be estimated and reconciled at the end.
Prices are charged on a day rate . There are discounts for use on extended periods.
Weekly rate - 20% Discount (6 day week)
Monthly rate - 30% Discount
6 Months - 40% Discount
Construction/Dress and Strike/ De–rig days are charged at half day rate.
Heating
All Studios and offices have gas heating systems.
Skips
These can be ordered for your convenience and quoted for separately.
Studio Hours and Overtime
The Studio times are 8.00 to 18.00 - Monday to Friday
Any charges for locking , unlocking , cleaning, waste removal , internal maintenance or other services will be charged at £30 per hour daytime or £45 per hour nightime or by agreement. Saturday and Sunday and Bank holidays will be £60 per hour.
Noise / Parking
All vehicles must be parked by 10pm and no vehicles will be allowed on site until 7.30am.
The site operates a dedicated parking system. Parking of all vehicles is by prior agreement. Any vehicles left unattended for long periods will be chargeable at £10 per day.
Telephones and Broadband
There are NTL cables ready to use. NTL should be contacted to connect supply.
Smoking
Strictly no smoking.
